Reliable is not clear.
There is a nice bluish light, which, thankfully, can be turned off.
There is also a switch for fan.

The thing is cool, but at first I did not quite understand how it works and is configured.
If you work with raspberry OS, then everything is fine there-go to the off. The site and do everything on the manual.
If you put Ubuntu, or something else, then there are already nuances, but also decisive.

Perfect solution for cooling down your pi. Tested on a Pi4 with RGBPi OS v4 and jamma connector; after 3 hours of playing the temperature of the pi was under 40° celsius. Elegant and easy to install solution!!!
